ACL Surgery Recovery - Week 6 pt. 2

July 14th, 2003

WOOOHAA! Working out is awesome. Today I went really hard on the bikes for 30 minutes, never once slowing down at all, and without any pain in my leg. It felt really really good. Afterwards, I jumped right off the bike and started stretching. I was able to touch my butt pretty easily doing a quad stretch... it felt like it was bending back ALL THE WAY. It didn't even hurt that bad. I was so happy. Hopefully it will still be loose tomorrow.

After the bikes, I was so pumped up that I did a full workout including situps, leg resistance training, bench presses, and the butterfly machine. I must have been there for 1.5 hours. I went in feeling all drained and tired, expecting to only ride the bike for 20 minutes and leave. When I got on the bike though, I started flying.

I think that I had a lot of pent up frustration inside today from the stress of the surgery and stress at work and in my personal life, so this workout was probably the best one i've ever had. I guess I got some mental therapy in addition to the physical therapy today. I feel great right now. I don't even feel like my knee hurts. Just wanted to share with the world... it feels really good.
