Peter's Photo Blog

It's no secret to everyone who knows me that I am really into photography. I was feeling that on my old xanga blog no one really wanted to see a bunch of photos or read about photography related stuff so I'm branching out on my own.

In the future you can expect to see some of my own photos, links to a bunch of other photo sites that I really enjoy, and some links to other people's work on photo sharing sites. I'll also be reviewing some of the equipment that I have and talking about the cool new stuff coming out that I probably can't afford.

I'm an amateur photographer in Austin, TX but I've been doing some photography work here in the area. I have a feeling that the pro photographer isn't really going to have much interest in my site, so I'm going to focus mostly on people who love photography as a hobby and not necessarily a career.

About my development in photography, I first started getting serious about it when digital became prominent, first learning on a canon S30 then upgrading to a Canon Digital Rebel. Yes, I'm one of those snotty kids who doesn't know much about film and thinks digital is the best thing since sliced bread. I'm looking to upgrade to the next version of the 30D or the 5D whenever they come out. I didn't major in photography, but have studied on my own through informal classes at the local university, through lots of reading other websites, and through classes through the local photo shop.
